OUR STORY
The journey as avid tabletop gamers.
It started with tabletop games — a love of playing them, a frustration with the limited selection of truly original designs, and the belief that indie game makers could create experiences just as compelling as the big publishers. That love became Broken Paths, our original strategy board game that debuted at PAX 2024.
But as we designed games with wooden components, the woodworking became its own obsession. What started as making game pieces became making full game tables. Game tables became mimic chests. Mimic chests became Infinity Chests — one of our most unique pieces, featuring a one-way mirror that creates the illusion of infinite depth.
What We Offer
Today, Over The Tabletop does both: we make original indie board games and handcrafted custom woodwork, all from Charles County, Maryland. Our woodworking clients are mostly right here in Southern Maryland — in La Plata, Waldorf, Bryans Road, Indian Head, and the surrounding communities. Our board games ship to customers across the United States.
